Edward J. Glover Jr. is in his 13th season at the helm of leading the
Voorhees College womenís basketball program. He is in his 17th season
overall as a head coach and 19th season
on the college level. During his time at VC, he has led the Lady Tigers
basketball team to several conference championships and over 200
victories. With the team's achievements over the years, Glover has
received many accolades such as conference and media
coach of the year awards and he is currently ranked among the top active
NAIA women's basketball coaches in the nation for career wins.
experiences include stints as the head womenís basketball coach at
Denmark Technical College and assistant menís basketball coach at
is a graduate of Claflin University with a B.A. in Sociology and South
Carolina State University with a M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling. He
also attended and lettered at
Francis Marion University as a member of the men's basketball squad.
The St. Matthews, S.C. native was a three-sport scholar athlete at Calhoun County High School.
In addition to his coaching duties, Glover is a mental health professional counselor with
the Orangeburg Area Mental Health Center that serves Bamberg, Calhoun and Orangeburg counties and has over twenty years of human services experience. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
Coach Glover is married to Dr. Elrica L.C. Glover and they have two daughters, Erin and Edriana.
