Head Coach
Allicia Golden

An accomplished athlete and 2007 Voorhees graduate, Allicia
Golden is in her third year as the tiger’s head track and field and cross
country coach. Golden, a native of Sumter, S.C., was an assistant coach for
three years before taking over as head coach in 2010. Throughout Golden’s
career as a coach, her teams have produced eight national qualifiers and an
All-American that finished second indoor and outdoor at Nationals.
During her entire collegiate career, Golden was undefeated
at the cross country EIAC conference and broke the conference record her
sophomore year. Her times upheld until
the conference no longer existed. She also holds the Voorhees record in the 800
meter, 5,000 meter and as part of the 4x400 meter relay team. Golden was the EIAC
most valuable runner for three years in cross country and an EIAC champion in
the high jump, 800m and 5,000m.
“I care about my
athletes in and out of the classroom and I try to instill into them that
education and good character will take them a long way in life. In closing
words golden remarked “I thank God for allowing Great coaches and mentors in my
life and I want to have the same effect on all the athletes I coach.
Among her many accomplishments, Golden is a member of USATF
association (level 1 certified). As well
as the founder and acting advisor of a community organization for young women
on Voorhees campus, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
