Health and Recreation
The health and education program offers a
bachelor's degree that will prepare you for a career in federal, state,
commercial, campus, military, community and non-profit recreation
agencies. We offer two tracks, allowing you to concentrate on where
your interests lie: the recreational tract with emphasis on
recreational leadership; or the health tract with emphasis on health
and wellness promotion. Most of our classes are small, which means
you'll learn from faculty instead of from teaching assistants.
In addition to the course work, the program aims to develop the
physical, mental, social and emotional well-being of our health and
recreation majors. Those are the very traits you'll help others
cultivate in themselves once you're a working professional. Our program
fosters leadership skills and the principles of citizenship as well.
