Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics provides you with
the knowledge you'll need to pursue a career in academia, business,
industry or government. When you graduate, you'll have solid skills in
logical reasoning. You'll be fluent in the concepts, principles and
theories of mathematics. You'll be well-versed in quantitative and
analytical thinking. You'll have the background you need to study
scientific areas as well.
Many Voorhees graduates immediately begin careers in education or
business. Others pursue graduate degrees in mathematics, statistics,
information science or other disciplines, often with the help of
assistantships.
Degree Requirements
- 50 credit hours of general education courses (Math 231 and Math 232 must be included)
- 65 credit hours of 300 or 400-level mathematics courses
- 9 credit hours in math electives
A total of 124 credit hours are needed to graduate.
