Division of Natural Sciences

The major objectives of the Division of Arts and Sciences are:

1.   To develop and maintain a strong curriculum in the Arts and Sciences;

2.   To identify, recruit and retain students with interest and potential for careers in the Arts and

      Sciences;

3.   To enhance students' ability to read, write, speak and listen effectively and think analytically;

4.   To develop quantitative and analytical skills and to provide knowledge of the sciences and the arts;

5.   To increase the number of students admitted into graduate/professional schools as well as the number who gain employment in their field;

6.   To provide divisional faculty an opportunity for professional growth and development; and

7.   To respond to and meet the higher education needs of adult learners.
