Voorhees usually begins accepting applications for orientation leaders in March.
Orientation leaders are students willing to act as big brothers and big sisters to incoming freshmen. The leaders are available to answer any questions new students might have and to see that the freshmen connect with the services and people they'll need to make their first year at Voorhees a success.
- Be at least a sophomore by the fall semester
- Be in good academic standing with at least a 2.5 grade point average
- Exemplify a strong interest in helping students become active, involved and academically successful at Voorhees College
- Demonstrate involvement with campus activities
Interested students must complete applications, submit letters of reference and be interviewed. Orientation leaders also must have approval from the General Studies, Academic and Student Affairs areas.
