Freshman Year Experience Program

When we say “Welcome to Voorhees College,” we don't say it just once. We keep saying it for months, through our Freshman Year Experience Program—a program designed to make sure you have everything you need to adjust academically and socially to your new surroundings. We're interested in seeing you succeed, and that's why we offer the tools you need to adapt to the demands of college.

The Freshman Year Experience Program begins with orientation, but that's only a start. We offer a package of services that can be tailored to your specific needs, whether it's helping you find extra academic assistance or organizing a trip that will let you laugh and learn with your friends. We also have seminars and workshops that offer tips on thriving in your new environment and speakers who will inspire you to aim high.

Our Web site offers an overview of the services and programs you'll find through the Freshman Experience Program. If you're interested in learning more, feel free to call us at (803) 780-1379 or stop by our office in Massachusetts Hall, Room 101. You also can visit FYEP counselors in Halmi or Blanton Hall. We're always available to say “welcome.”
