Dr. Corey Amaker Elected President-Elect of South Carolina Association of Institutional Researchers

Dr. Corey Amaker, vice president for Strategic Planning, Assessment, and Technology at Voorhees University, was elected president-elect of the South Carolina Association of Institutional Researchers (SCAIR). The official announcement was made recently at the SCAIR annual conference in Charleston, SC.

The organization consists of institutional research, assessment, and planning professionals representing the public and private sectors of higher education in South Carolina. The primary purpose of the Association, according to Amaker, is “to benefit, assist, and advance research leading to improved understanding, planning, and operation of institutions of postsecondary education in South Carolina.” As president-elect, Amaker is charged with serving as the vice-chairperson of the executive committee; chairperson of the programming committee and will succeed the president at the end of the one-year term.
