 Important Information for Spring 2025 Semester 

Important Dates to Remember 

  • December 13–January 1: University closed for the holidays
  • January 2: The university reopens for faculty, staff, student leaders, and athletes to return to campus
  • January 2-12: Transportation pick-up services, if needed
  • January 3: New students arrive on campus
  • January 4: Returning students begin to move back to campus
  • January 6: Spring 2025 CLASSES BEGIN
  • January 9: Deadline by 4 PM for transportation requests

Transportation

  • Students requiring transportation back to campus for the Spring 2025 semester must complete the Voorhees University Student “Return to Campus” Travel Request Form.
  • Deadline to Submit Request: January 9 by 4 PM 
  • Pick-Up Services Available from January 2 to January 12, 2025
  • Payment Instructions
  • Fee: $25.00 (one-way, non-refundable)
  • Payments can be made:
  • After payment, upload your receipt to the form.
  • If you previously paid for a roundtrip ticket, upload the same receipt.

Academic Advising and Course Scheduling 

  • Contact your academic advisor to finalize your Spring 2025 course schedule.  
  • Students must have an approved course schedule to access living and learning facilities.
  • Student residents must check in at their designated facility to access their rooms and Canvas account.
  • Students must resolve any account holds with the Business Office.
  • Before returning to campus, students should verify and finalize their course schedule through their academic advisor or Tiger Portal account.
  • Access to the Living and Learning Facilities and Canvas will not be granted outside normal business hours if requirements are unmet.

Find Your Academic Advising Worksheet on Tiger Portal: Follow These Steps

  1. Go to www.voorhees.edu
  2. Log in to Tiger Portal.
  3. Click on the “Students” tab.
  4. Navigate to “My Advising” and select “Course Needs.”
  5. Click “View All Details” and select “Open Advising Worksheet” on the next page.
  6. The advisor’s contact information will be at the page’s top.
