We’re a historically black university with an active, progressive student body and a high ratio of instructors to students that allows personal attention. We’re mindful of our traditions but also focused on giving our graduates what they need to succeed in an ever-changing global society. With the backing of the Episcopal Church, we help students grow spiritually as well as intellectually. And we’re pleased that you’re interested in becoming a part of Voorhees. Through my time at VU I learned to slow down, engage in conversation, and reach out to those around me. I encourage you to open up to the idea of new people and trying new things. Don't be afraid to reach out to professors, RA's and other students. They are here not only to improve your academics, but to help you grow in character. Spend time away from the books, go to campus events, and embrace the beloved community around you!
