My advice to students:Â When I came to VU I did not understand the value of community, nor the gift of time. Through my time at VU I learned to slow down, engage in conversation, and reach out to those around me. I encourage you to open up to the idea of new people and trying new things. Don’t be afraid to reach out to professors, RA’s and other students. They are here not only to improve your academics, but to help you grow in character. Spend time away from the books, go to campus events, and embrace the beloved community around you!Â
