Denmark, S.C., – Voorhees University proudly announces that two of its outstanding students, Mr. Nicholas Brown and Mr. William Mitchell received the highest academic honors during the International Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Conclave held in Tampa, Florida, July 14–20, 2025. Both students were recognized for achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA—earning them the Top Academic Honors in Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
In addition to these individual achievements, the Zeta Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. at Voorhees University was awarded the prestigious title of “Chapter with the Highest GPA” across the entire fraternity, further solidifying Voorhees University’s reputation for academic excellence.
Mr. Nicholas Brown, a senior Computer Science and Cyber Security major from Kingston, Jamaica, is a campus leader known for his dedication to both academics and service. He is the immediate past Student Government Association President, a member of the W. Franklin Evans Honors College, President of the Student Advisory Council, and President of the Zeta Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Mr. William Mitchell, a junior Psychology major from Atlanta, Georgia, also exemplifies leadership and academic excellence. He is a member of the W. Franklin Evans Honors College, a dedicated performer in the Voorhees University Choir, and serves as Vice President of the Zeta Gamma Chapter.
