WVCD

From the time the first disc jockey signed on in 2004, campus radio station WVCD 790 AM has been an integral part of campus communications, as well as a chance for mass communications majors to gain valuable experience.  Then in 2019, our  low power translator FM station 96.5 FM debuted. 

Located in the Leonard E. Dawson Health & Human Resources Center and on your radio at 96.5 FM 790 AM, WVCD’s format is Urban Adult Contemporary, which features gospel, jazz, blues and classic R&B and hip hop.  Along with great music, WVCD is also community minded with portions of programing focusing on news and events.  The station also sponsors events on campus and serves as a learning lab for students.
