Hall of Fame Nomination Application

Criteria
The Voorhees University Hall of Fame program honors alumni annually. The committee will carefully consider all nominations. However, please consider the following criteria when nominating an alumnus or alumna.  Nominees must have earned a degree from Voorhees College not less than 10 years prior to consideration.  Induction into the Voorhees University Hall of Fame is not given in recognition of an office or position held, but rather for the actual quality of the individual's work in his or her chosen field of endeavor and professional leadership, commitment to Voorhees University and their community.  Nominees must have exhibited a high degree of character and integrity.  To be selected for the Hall of Fame, the nominees must meet the following criteria:

• must have earned a degree from Voorhees University not less than 10 years prior to consideration;
• must have demonstrated significant measurable achievement in their chosen field for a period sufficient to demonstrate perseverance and maturation and/or must have effected a profound positive influence since his or her graduation; and this includes being recognized by his or her peers as having reached and remained at the pinnacle of his or her field.
• must have contributed to the institution for the last three consecutive years prior to being nominated.

Detailed information about the nominee's credentials, achievements, the impact and implications of those accomplishments, public awards and honors, and outside sources such as published articles and previously aired video or audio tapes, must be provided for the nominee to be considered.  The selection committee considers all information included with nominations in making its decisions.  All candidates, living and deceased, will be considered regardless of race, gender or religion.
