Voorhees University Pre-Alumni Council Receives Prestigious Awards at UNCF Leadership Conference

DENMARK, SC–The Pre-Alumni Council (PAC) at Voorhees University has garnered significant recognition at the recent UNCF Leadership Conference held from February 22nd to 25th in Jacksonville, Florida, clinching two prestigious awards: PAC of the Year and Advisor of the Year.

The Pre-Alumni Council serves as a vital link between current students and alumni, fostering effective connections and providing opportunities for members to contribute to their alma mater. Under the guidance of President Simya Levine, the executive board, and dedicated advisors, the PAC has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership on and off campus.

In just a year, the PAC has seen remarkable growth, expanding from 11 members to 39 active participants. This growth reflects the council’s ability to inspire and motivate fellow members, enhancing its impact on the broader student body and increasing engagement with fresh ideas and initiatives.

A defining aspect of the PAC’s mission is its commitment to strengthening the bond between current students and alumni. This year, the council prioritized enhancing alumni relations, recognizing the importance of connecting students with alumni for mutual benefit and support.

The influence of the PAC extends beyond campus borders, reaching into the community and fostering engagement among students, alumni, and local residents. Through innovative events and initiatives, the PAC has successfully increased participation and plans to continue expanding its reach.

“We are incredibly honored to receive these awards and grateful for the opportunity to represent Voorhees University at the UNCF Leadership Conference,” said Jasper C. Fell, who was named PAC Advisor of the Year. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our pre-alumni council members and supporters who have contributed to our success.”

The Voorhees University Pre-Alumni Council looks forward to building on this achievement and continuing to make a positive impact on campus and beyond.
